Emerging Leaders AcademyThe goal of this program is to encourage students to strive to become virtuous servant-leaders during the four-year course and beyond. It is a wonderful opportunity to build and improve skills in critical thinking and professional development.
During my time in the program, I have learned about the Five Exemplary Practices of Leadership. These advocate for us to model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart of those we work with. Through different opportunities presented to me throughout my time in the program, I have gained the experience to realize that servant leadership is our heritage and calling. This course has taught me that we do not come to be served, but rather we come to serve others as a community, and as illustrated through the Benedictine values, this is our true calling. |
